Purpose

Dr. Kia R. McCray is an accomplished Macro-level, Licensed Master of Social Work. Holding 20 years of experience in providing holistic clinical services and overseeing nonprofit public management and government public health services through research, data collection/analysis, and quality assurance/improvement initiatives; to help organizations throughout various states provide the highest level of services within their communities. 

Dr. KRM grew up in the city of Camden, New Jersey. Here is where it was birth within her the determined to overcome the obstacles presented and it grew into something to achieve for the greater good. As a result, Dr. KRM obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University School of Arts in Camden, NJ; then concurrently a Master’s degree in Social Work, with a concentration in nonprofit public management. Additionally, from Rutgers School of Social Work in New Brunswick, NJ. Then Dr. KRM obtained her Doctor of Social Work from Capella University, Minneapolis, MN. With all the knowledge obtained through her academic journey, Dr. KRM's purpose and passion were simple; she just wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. This passion fueled her thesis for her Doctoral Dissertation focused on action-based research with a qualitative inquiry approach on Stress Management within social work. The purpose of this study was to help social workers and other helping professions gain a deeper understanding of workplace stress; empower them to manage their stress and provide support by identifying effective strategies to cope with stress. 
Dr. KRM is a true advocate of individual health and well-being.

In 2019, Dr. KRM founded TruValu Consulting, LLC to further offer her expertise to organizations by assisting with strategic planning and implementation, to produce positive outcomes, as well; offering individual services for those looking to grow professionally by providing them with the tools and resources needed in order for them to be empowered to develop their purpose, achieve their goals, and accomplish their dreams.

Dr. KRM thrives off her attention to detail and inquisitive nature, which is all based on her desire to constantly educate herself to stay learning and growing. This desire has established her as a strong change agent in her field of expertise. Therefore, she remained focused on continuing to lead and inspire others to learn and grow because she truly believes that education is the key to the development of oneself, which will later guide one’s intentions towards the destined path and purpose that they are meant to accomplish.
